NEW YEAR - HOGMANAY
Stories are recalled around the world of how passionately the Highlanders ‘bring in the bells' - come and experience a taste of what we do best and join us for our 2 or 3 day celebrations!
Tuesday 30th December
Welcome! - Afternoon Tea in front of our wonderful open log fire.
Weather permitting, a round of golf or a walk on the beach, a game of snooker, relax with a good book at the fire or a swim perhaps?
7.00 - 8.00 pm - aperitif before dinner in the Sir Robert Lorimer Dining Room
Hogmanay - Wednesday 31st December
8:00am -10am Full Scottish Breakfast
Beautiful ladies - our in-house beautician Kendra Ballantyne will impart her secrets in a short morning class and give you the opportunity to book a beauty session for the afternoon.
Sheila Lorimer from Bliss is also available for massages.
Fresh air and exercise - Our walking treasure hunt around Brora is one option or a round of golf on our famous James Braid Links Course is another.
3:30 - 4.00 pm. Afternoon Tea in the Hotel Foyer giving everyone plenty of time to prepare for the evening's festivities.
7.30pm - Champagne and Canapé Reception followed by a five-course Gala Dinner with specially selected wines to complement each course.
11.55pm - Prepare to ‘"bring in the bells" with your glass of champagne or a drop of Brora's own Clynelish malt, then "swing those kilts", "strip the willow'' and dance till dawn!
For families with younger children, High Tea will be served in the Bistro between 5:00 - 6:00pm and a babysitter is on hand to supervise children in the television room from 7:00 - 11:00pm. Children over 12 are welcome to attend the Hogmanay Dinner at a cost of £50 per child.
New Year's Day - Thursday 1st January
For the early risers, Continental Breakfast is available from 8:00 - 10:00am
Prefer a lie in? No problem - Brunch is served from 10:00a.m - 2:00pm!
Quiz time - A leisurely walk on the beach will get you thinking clearly again in time to set about solving the questions on our quiz which one of our team will give you.
Afternoon Tea is served between 3:00 - 4:00pm in front of the fire, followed by the quiz results.
Around 5.00pm, weather permitting, the village puts on an excellent bonfire and fireworks display at the mouth of the river, followed by the local pipe band. Return to the hotel for a warming dram and a relaxed evening starting with a hot and cold buffet, followed by the annual Table Tennis and Pool Competition.
Friday 2nd January
For those who are departing, Breakfast is available from 8:00 - 10:00am, prior to the journey home and for those who are staying on for a few days, the hotel returns to normal!
Prices are based on two people sharing and are inclusive of all accommodation, meals and festivities mentioned above. Lunch is additional and will be available in the Garden Room from mid-day
Children are very welcome and when sharing with 2 adults there is no charge for those under 2 years and just a small addition of £25 for each of 3 - 16 years per night. However, if they require their own room, there is a reduced cost of £50.00 per child per night for Bed & Breakfast, with all other meals charged thereafter.
